What it takes to make a happy faerie

This is definitely the month of May. She suffered so many good things happening to her in such a short time, one after the other, that I was beginning to worry that it's all some preparation for some unspeakably horrible thing to happen to her. The first and most important thing, of course, is May's long-awaited release from the army, following which she got so happy she unfortunately lost whatever sanity she once had and painted her hair traffic-light red, with a haircut that resembles a murdered parrot, all that in addition to the tattoo she'd made a few weeks earlier. Her new hair was, in fact, so horrible that her mother demanded that she'll shave her head bald before the passover meal - The first such case in known history.

Then came a letter from that silly little publisher - they loved her stories, and would like to publish them. An annoying thought - I thought I was the established writer among the two of us!

Then came the news of the Ellen coming-out-of-the-closet episode. That was reason to celebrate by itself, but when I excitedly informed her that the chapter will actually include appearances of K.D. Lang, Demi Moore and Gina Gershon, she had to take some pills to calm her seizures of happiness.

She also made some new friends online (The kind that send nude pictures of themselves to people online), with whom she says she communicates at extremely high levels. one of them had even promised her to send her a copy of her favorite comics, the B.F, which she'd been searching for all over the comic book shops in Iz (there are two). This may not sound like much, but it counts for almost as much as seeing a show with two of the three Goddesses.

And to top it all, she had a phone call. It was the Ice Princess. She called her back. Yup. They're back together. More or less. I think most of us would agree this is far too much. How much happiness can a person get?! And it's got a risky side, too - if she's going to be so shiny happy from now on, will we never have new dark little poetics like this one?

This is dangerous. And suspicious. someone will have to pay.
