Don't stand too close to a naked man

we got into the oscar lads!! like last year we have one movie that got into, what most people think it's the real, oscar. but like last year there is no chance whatsoever that it will win. not cause it's not a better film but cause it's much to serious to win.

Serious? The full Monty? Yeah right, Very serious movie! The philosphical implications of the naked dancing men simply overwhelmed me!

if you weren't a slimy fish you'd probably be able to see the message in this movie, which is about a father that loves his son and will do anything to have him. and about how ridicilous the male body is, that a women will actually pay money to go and have some laughs about it.

I'm well aware of that. You don't have to remind me. so you're saying that this movie was actually, like, a strong social-political statement about, kinda, the reducing of the masculine ego during the, like, economical depression in the, um, eighties, in Britain, which was caused by the strict, eh, political attitude of the conservative, like, government that was headed, ironically, by a woman, and that the stripping is just a kindova metaphor to portrait the middles classes' decrease?

yes!

Oh. I thought that's what you said.

Well, I still think the dancing naked men were funny.

it look's like there is nothing more to say about this movie after this fish over there managed to sum the all movie in one paragraph. but it's not true. cause by this we leave one enormous thing outside - the british sense of humor. nobody laughs about the english better then themselves. except the scotts.

I wasn't summarizing the movie! I was just pattering uncontrollably! Is this really what this movie is about?

yes, in way. i mean they didn't want to make a sad movie but like in all the british movies they want to say something, and they did.

red! something horrible just happened! we talked about the movie!!

wait a minute. I talked about the - what? Are you sure? This movie? Are you sure it was me?

dear supposed readers: i have a problem. we cannot make fun on this movie (although this movie make fun of itself, or maybe because of that). but you should go and see it!

How did that happen? I think the spirit of Roger Ebert got into me or something. This could be a case for Mulder & Scully. Tadadam tam tam tam.
