Stormy times
Listen, May. I think we have a serious problem.

you know something. you're probably right. i don't have the slightest idea what to write about this movie. i mean it's definitely a good movie, and i don't mean showgirls good but more like a.... what good movie did we see last year?

You mean, like, Good good? Quality good? Rave reviews good? Well, there was sense and sensibility.

ammm....yes! and we couldn't have written about that movie too if emma wasn't there. and anyway it was the same director.

Yup. Ang Lee... for someone with such a stupid name, he makes pretty good movies. Too bad we can't tell the joke about his being a Taiwanese-American man called Ang Lee here, because only hebrew speakers will get it. Anyway, at first glance, you would never think that there's any connection between Sensensen and Ice Storm; One is so british and the other one is extremely american.

yep. but the minute you look again you see that the two of them are about a short time in a life of a family. and how he compares the events that take place in their inner world with the events in the outside world

That's true, perhaps, but I'm not expressing an opinion. No chance you're going to get me to write anything serious about this movie; it's too damn serious already.

well you always can write about how in the movie all the people are having sex and you don't even see one tit!! the only thing you can see is kevin klyne's chest and this is one scene that, in my opinion, should be censored!!

Well, I'd say that was uncalled for, but as long as it keeps us from discussing the political implications of the movie, the tragic structure of it and other depressing stuff like that, it's fine by me. Hey, I can even talk about how when in the #Ricci time everyone were waiting for this movie for about two years, and how she justified her reputation as an excellent, serious actress.

and how she got so fat! and to think that she's 17 now, i mean, in the life of amanda, she doesn't even look 12 (if she wasn't fat, i mean)

She may be 17 now, but she was 15 when this movie was shot, and she shed all the weight off by now. But I've sworn to never mention Christina Ricci in this page, so that subject is off too.

maybe you did, but i didn't!! and i saw her picture from nowadays and she look exactly the same, only a bit younger.

Yeah. excellent performances from the rest of the crew either - even Ripley was there, but she had long hair, and wasn't chasing any aliens, so I hardly recognized her.

i think it's the time to go back up to see if we have enough text to finish here and start writing about some other movie that is not that good so probably there is a lot more to write about.

You mean, of course, to search our memory and see if we've already covered every possible aspect of this movie, right?!

no, i mean do we have enough words that may or may not be about this movie.

Ah, damn. Well, it seems we have about enough. I tell you, this kind of movies is so stressing. Life is so complicated. You go out of it and wish life will come back to the normal stuff - shooting, explosions, saving the world...

BOOBS!

- Yeah. You know, everyday, simple stuff.
