one day i get a hysterical phone from red. "MAY!!!! have you seen the paper today?". "what, what" i say getting very excited "gina is coming to the land of Iz?". "NO!" he said "the clerks guy is making a movie with god and guess how get to play god?". "EMMA!!" i scream "i told you!! she's god! now everything got into place and everybody could see it" That's right - we knew it! Well, May knew it, but I didn't contradict her. She said it in the very first edition of The Red Fish Page. Apparently, Kevin Smith (II), director of Clerks and Chasing Amy, thought the same, so maybe May would even be able to forgive him for making that movie. let me think about it.... nope! well maybe just a bit. anyway some time ago i looked again on the credits and i couldn't see her name there. and all the plot changed. i called red crying "she's not there anymore!!" Sad, but true... Apparently, Emma left the movie to dedicate herself to having a kid. Note that no husband was reported; The kid's name will probably be Jesse. And so our hopes were shattered, but what's done is done - "Emma Thompson is God" was spluttered all over the showbiz papers, and in MovieLine's list of "The 100 smartest things Hollywood did lately" and you guys (and girls). remember where you first read it!!! Maybe we do know something about movies after all! Maybe the "worst movie critics team in the world" reputation is not justified! Maybe Alicia Silverstone Will win the oscar next year for her strong character role, and Gina Gershon will become globally adored as the new Garbo! we will have to go to a short recess to put red in a ice cold bucket to chill him off. Well, Maybe - splash. | |
